I'm just wondering if anyone is runninf a stagered rim setup on there altima? I'm looking at getting a set of G35 rims and they are 19 by 8 in the front and 19 by 8.5 in the rears. Just windering if they had any problems? ABS, brake or speedo Problems? Thanks for the help!

There are a bunch of people who have done it on here. I have not heard any complaints. IMHO i think staggered wheels are silly on a fwd car. But thats just me, sorry to those who have them.

I have the G37 rims which are 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9 in the rear. No issues at all.

As long as your heights are the same, you won't have any issues with the onboard systems like ABS or VDC.

Staggered wheels on a FWD car is somewhat redundant as it gives you no benefits...but that being said, there's nothing wrong with doing it if those are the wheels you can find!

there is technically a small performance drop but too small for anyone to notice... no handling or real-world differences though. I guess if you're really anal about it, you can find 2 sets of fronts and put em on.

The problem is somewhat like Toxik said; it sees no benefits so that basically correlates to a drop. When you add wider tires you are getting more grip and traction, so, you would be BEST to put the wider tires in the front for acceleration traction. However, wider in the front is bad for wear and tear when turning...so it is a Win/Lose...whichever you want more of...

Also, wider is not always better if you are a commuter. Granted, it looks AWESOME when you are stuck in traffic...but on the days when you get to really get up and go...you are putting more rubber to the road and in turn need more gas to keep those wheels going in a circle. Again, Win/Lose...your call...it would be 1 MPG give or take...throw an intake on your car and you are right where you started!

I don't have any problems with mine, just make sure that your tire sizes equal out to being the same height front and rear. I absolutely love the look of the beefy tires in the back. Plus any tire is an upgrade from the factory ones. If you go staggered, invest in a life-time alignment. They generally run about $150 and it will help prolong the life of the tires since they won't be rotatable.

I ordered 19X9.5 all around, offset +35, 255/35/19 tires. Others have done it (PakiCoupe) and it's been fine. There's a slight slight slight chance it would rub under hard hard cornering or if you hit a huge pothole, but it's fine.

My wheels just shipped today (TSW Thruxtons, same as PakiCoupe). I fell in love with that look when I saw them on his car:
