I'm looking at a new turbo and have a chance at a T04E with a stage III exhaust.

I've been told that the stage III is a better match for avoiding surge for compressor.

Does anybody know how will this affect spool time?

to know what kind of effect it will have, first we need to know your current turbo specs.

The turbo is a T3/T04E 50 trim with the only difference being that one has a stage I turbine and the other a stage III. Both are .63A/R.

I have that exact turbo with the stgIII exhaust wheel. I'd say full boost was 3500, but you'll have 5-8 psi by 3000 depending on manifold and exhaust flow.

BUY IT!!!!!

I have a stage I, .63 turbine housing, with a 46 trim compressor and it hits 5psi around 3000-3200rpm in 3rd gear.

My stage I was a super 60 that had a problem. It boosted super fast but seemed to gas out by 5000RPM.

He means 1.21 Jigawatts, which, at 88mph is just enough to make you go...

Heavy?!?! Has there been a change in gravity in your time? I only ask because you keep saying how things are heavy.
