Ok here is stage 1 just wanted some input before i start:95' KA24DE longblockClutch (exedy or act which i can find at a good price)Resurfaced & Lightened to 14lbs stock flywheel Underdrive lightweigt crank pulleyremove mech. fan and convert to electric fans. (going with 91 stanza or 95 altima dual fans)try and find some true 91 cams and drop them in.after i get all the parts i will drop in the motor using my 92' trans and intake manifold.

sound good so far? I just want to make sure there isn't anything bad about a 95' engine like it has bad rods or weak crank. Anything you think i should know about the 95' ka24de let me know. Also any input on the lightened flywheel or pulleys will be great too.Thanxthe reason i say 95" ka is becouse i found one with 65k for $300 and just need to check the compression. What should i look for in terms of compression per cyclinder?

I would say stick with the mechanical fan and make sure your rad is clean.

'95 engine is the same as any other DOHC, besides the ignition system and engine management.

Stick with the stock flywheel, it will increase driveability, especially with a twitchier clutch.

Compression should be 179psi +- 15psi from cylinder to cylinder and check at operating temperature.

theres no way you will be able to take over 7lbs off of the stock flywheel, go with stock or fidanza.

the 95 motor is fine, just swap over your intake mani, and distributor.

also your 92 cams are exactly the same as the "true" 91 cams, so use those

never hear much about exedy with higher performance, go wtih act or clutch masters

i am using the stock fan setup at 13psi and have never had an overheating problem. if you can get the fans cheap enough i guess why not then

Yep, with good compression and good oil pressure your engine is fine for boost.
