I had the hardness protector recall done a couple months ago and of course the dealer did their multi-point inspection.

They recommended: Left Front Sway Bar End Link.

I finally got around to taking a look this weekend when I rotated the tires. Front left is supposed to be the drivers side. I looked and moved it around and didn't notice anything wrong with it.

On the passenger side I did notice the dust boot was off a little bit and after about 5 minutes of f*** with it I got it to cover it again. Could that of been the "issue" they saw, but wrote down the wrong side?

Here are pics.

These are driver side,

This is not the sway bar, but the rubber bushing here is the only thing I saw that might be a problem.

Passenger side

This is the one where I was able to move the dust boot back after a few minutes.

What do you guys think?

just because a dealer recommends something, doesn't mean it actually needs to be replaced.
they love suggesting something, the common man cant find/verify.

Yeah I know. I haven't noticed any sounds, just thought I would check with everyone. Thanks

Personally I think it is too much of a coincidence that your passenger side had the boot off AND they suggested replacing the front left side. I think the most likely case is that they noticed what you noticed and wrote it down wrong.

I thought the same thing. Then I thought if they don't know which side of the car is left and which is right then I probably shouldn't trust them
