Rubber bushings get attacked by ozone and heat [+ SALT] changing their resilence.

4-6 years depending on location. Depends on how near brand new you like to maintain.

It is worth replacing the rubber bushings -- you should be able to feel the difference. I've replaced mine in a 97 Q and it was a significant improvement resulting in a smoother ride.

They're cheap and easy to replace, good investment.

The links are the cheap and easy part.

You may also have to replace the tension rods, strut mounts and struts.

If you're even halfway mechanical you can replace the sway bar links and tension rods your self. Strut mounts and struts require a little extra skill.

If you've got the money, replace all of it.
