any feedback on this product?

the entire harness is coated with oily grime. after degreaser i figured id buy a can of CRC electrical connector cleaner and maybe get some run of the mill dielectric grease or give this other stuff a try. also any one have any suggestions for torn rubber connector boots. ive seen em plugged up with silicon but i was wondering if thats the way to go. ive seen some liquid electrical tape at home depot for exposed wires but id rather have fewer half used cans of toxic chemicals laying around if i can help it.
