They may have recommended +35 offsets, but if you plan on lowering your vehicle, then +35's may not be the way to go... if you don't plan on lowering it, you'll be fine!gmoneyhq wrote:You know all this too well... I really appreciate it. I was at America's Tire Co out here in San Jose Ca. At first I was gonna go with the Motegi DV5 gun metal wheels and then he showed me the SSR GT3 and i am not really into the open spoke wheels because of the hassle of cleaning them, but they really caught my eye. I am getting 19"s, the recommended offset they said is +35. They did recommend the Falken tires to me too. I will probably pick them up then. The whole package for the wheels and tires are probably gonna run me around $2200. What u think???
There really is nothing you can do, other than order different size tires, like 225 or 235! Ask Eduardo (edonissan) about his setup.. I've seen it in person, and 245's with a +35 offset and a 1inch crop is not a good idea IMHO.gmoneyhq wrote:If i do plan on lowering it, what should i do???? i only want to lower it about an inch though.
You're right Eric, and this was my debate. The rim I wanted only comes in 18's and 20's. The 18's are +42offset and the 20's are +35 offset. I know the 18's would fit perfectly, and the 235/45/18 would be exact OEM specs, but that 45 profile tire is just too fat for what I'm looking for.. Also, even with a 1" drop, I don't think you can tell the difference between 17" and 18" rims. In the end, I'm choosing to go with looks. But I debated over this for months!generic808 wrote:Hey, why not just go with 18's? You can run 235/45/18 and it'll be exact factory specs as your OEM wheels/tires. Not only will the ride be smoother, the tires will also be cheaper. And you definitely won't have to worry about rubbage. Just a thought.
Going with something a little different.. their called blackchrome. You very rarely see it! Also, I'm going with the Boss motorsport 318's.generic808 wrote:So which brand did you decide on? Got pics?
