is the autochrome manifold really that bad, if there are any sutochrome customers could you tell me how the manifold is. i have been checking the forums and i am hearing mixed reviews

the only manifold that is ok to use is the t25/28 series because they re-enforced it with extra little braces...all other models suck monkey nuts beyond belief and the welds will break due to load and weight of the turbo....i wouldnt really waste my time unless u were doing a budget build up with the sr turbo/02 housing/downpipe combo

save your money - there's no reason to go cheaply on a car unless you want problems and want to waste money and time.

the manifolds are pure garbage...I bought a car that had one installed on it - and it was maybe driven a week on it, and then I've driven it for maybe a total of a month and it's already warped terribly...

You can do what you want - but when it cracks or whatever - all you'll get from here is "I told you so".

A few ppl have gotten lucky on them..and for the price...I guess if you're willing to have a high chance of blowing $100 or so..then go for it....but I wouldn't recommend it.

thanks for the input, now i have another ? which manifold would you recommend and if would get the ss would a sr20 downpipe work

the stock sr20 downpipe will work....the only manifold they have that works with the sr setup is the one that is made for the t25/28 and is bottom mount...

unless it's a top mount manifold. then you can use the Sr20 downpipe and custom fab an 'upper downpipe' to mate the turbo and the SR20 dowpipe. that's the setup they're using on the IAP kit but as far as bottom mount mani's go UL is right.
