Has anyone used a SSAUTOCHROME GT28R Turbo on there car? Well I used one and it didn't even last 200miles before it went. I was just wondering if anyone else had a bad expericence with this turbo? I also wanted to see what other turbos people where using.

When you do turbo shopping, what you pay is what you get. That's why the SSAutochrome stuff is cheap. Because they use cheap parts and bad quality control.

Typically, stay with companies like Garrett, HKS, turbonetics. Your big name companies that have built a reputation for quality parts. I pretty much swear by garrett turbos.

I know you guys are going to hate to hear this but my gt28rs from ssa has lasted me 2 years now. No shaft play, no leaks, nothing. But when I got it I had to basically turn the turbo around. It was set up to be on the opposite side of the motor. I had to loosen both side of turbo and turn both housing to make it work. I guess I'm lucky.

Seriously when are people going to stop posting about SSAC turbos?

They make ok exhaust products and simple pipings and IC kits but no... their turbos suck d!ck.
