I'll bet the suspension has alot to do with manifolds cracking. If you've ever been in a car w/ tein he's or ss or most coilovers you'll know what I mean. It feels like there is zero travel and I'm guessing that causes the cracking. Yeah the engine vibrates, but I don't think the vibration is as traumatic to the manifold. Who's with me??float_6969 wrote:I have that manifold, but have yet to install the motor. It looks like a good unit and it seems like it's been fairly well braced. I'm still thinking about fabbing up some sort of bracket to help support it though...
is this car swapped or something? the 85 200sx turbo has a *SOHC 1.8 CA* (the CA18ET) and it uses a different manifold...SHIEF wrote:I'm getting a 85 200sx turbo (1.8 cadet)
its still a *stock-placement* bottom mount manifold not sure what you're asking here...SHIEF wrote:I'm thinking it won't be that bad considering that it's just a T25 turbo on top.
use an SOHC manifold (stocker) and it has a t2 flange. you can use any t2 flanged turbo (t25, t28, gt25, gt28, etc...) oil and water lines are the same for the s13 SR t25 turbo, but I would assume they're the same for any SR turbo.SHIEF wrote:I can still bolt up the T25 though, right? Eventhough it's a SOHC head?
