SSAUTO divorced chamber dump pipe/turbo elbow, DP and race test pipe = POS, not sure where this belongs, please move it if necessary.

This is being cross posted to every forum I can think of, because when I researched the only info I could find is that their intercooler kit and dual N1 exhaust systems are awesome. I only found 1 or 2 mentions of the dump pipe but didn’t read anything negative so I took a chance and it bit me in the *** big time. I just hope that my post saves someone else a headache, this is only MY opinion of the 3 parts that I received from them.

the turbo elbow:this thing is truly a pos, I don’t recommend buying one under any circumstances. According to their auction its supposed to clear the US sr20det s13 swaps, IT DOES NOT CLEAR THE US SWAP. As it was going in It was up against the steering column. once the rest of the exhaust was on it moved off but only because it was forcing the entire exhaust system to move to the left, which gave it less then a ¼” clearance. My entire exhaust system shifted over to the left about 4”, I was not able to use the transmission to exhaust mount either. Sometimes when im breaking or i let off the accelerator I can hear something clanking and im almost 99.9% sure it’s the elbow hitting the steering column. Also the stock sr20det O2 Sensor Does not fit, the hole is too big. I found out that you have to drill and tap their O2 Sensor plug to make it work, which they don’t tell you in the auction. It also Does not look as nice as the one in their pics at all, the welds on mine were fugly at best, and on the turbo side flange needs port matching.

.

.

. The DP:this Downpipe is another POS. at least the one I got was pure crap. The Downpipe does not fit the car at all. It is the right shape but the turbo elbow to down pipe flange is off big time! If you try to bolt it to the stock SR turbo elbow, or even their own divorced chamber elbow, the cat end of the DP points out of the car. I was unable to use this part at all and am in the process of trying to get my money back from that auction.

The race test pipethe flanges on this thing are warped to hell, they need to be machined flat or your going to get an exhaust leak. im planning on having someone weld it to the exhaust/DP to seal up my leak. If they machined the flanges flat it would be a good piece.

While you are right, and SSAC is garbage, that problem exists with more than just this brand. having to hammer on a divided elbow pipe is not entirely uncommon.. unless you fork out the extra cash for the greddy.

I could spend hours telling you about the turbo I got and the turbo that I was supposed to get. the bottom line is they are a ****ty company with piss poor customer service. And we should all know better then to buy the cheap stuff...lol. IT is always worth it to buy from a reputable well known company. it pays off in the long run. I have countless emails that I sent and recived from these guys, none of which were helpful and a few that are downright insulting. I truly belive that they should be at the top of the list in the BUYER BEWARE! sticky.
