so I know people have had lots of issues with these jokers, and other have said they are ok now and was looking for some feedback on their current FMIC for the CA18DET? IIRC people were buying the S14 KA-T in the past for some reason?

btw, I never got the S shaped coupler(that attachs to the TB) when I got my swap and thus far have been running a ghetto ridged IC piping from different Intake piping and other makeshift crapola......... is that something Im going to need?

the udger to go Trust and be done with it has hit me......but my wallet is thinking otherwise.

PS I know they make an exhaust manifold that once re-weld is worth using.......... but is there another option, as it would be worth the money to me to get something I can trust.

re-weld what and why exactly? i've heard talk of some people going over the existing welds but the is just a plain bad idea. the best thing that could probably be done for those manifolds is constructing some sort of support bracket.

from what I understand the welds at the welds are weak in quality and have a tendency to break in a short period of time. People have taken these manifolds and re-enfored the welds to make it withstand the heat and stress..............

least that was what I understood.

Support the turbo, not the manifold.

you weaken the manifold by going over the welds again.

the problem is that any other 304SS thin walled stainless steel manifold on the market will suffer from the exact problems the cheap crap does. if you want somthing that will last it will need to either be made from 321 thin wall , or 304 SS schedule 10 thick walled material.

What turbo are you wanting to run? how soon are you willing to buy a manifold, and whats your budget? My turbo manifold is off again which gives me the opportunity to make a Jig to build manifolds off of. I also still have the Jig for the EVOIII turbo setup. Im really busy right now, but i need some extra cash, so if your serious about a manifold i can squeeze one in on my free time.

Not real sure on a budget......... as quality usually comes first if I have to eat mac and cheese for a week........

as of this moment I have my stock T25, but I should have a T28 in my hands by the end of the week(picked up on forum for nothing and going to rebuild it)..... so Im looking for a top mount manifold for a T2 setup. I could go larger, but being that Im daily driving it I dont want to be running a huge turbo with no spoil and have to worry about making it around someone in traffic.

I saw the evo III mani you did and it looked superb. I would def like equal length manifold.... but I havent seen much of any manifolds at all.

I bought their FMIC set up for the CA and when I got it it was just an S13 SR kit. I had to modify it by using an old CAI I had. I was quite pissed. This was bought about a year ago.

I have there S14/S15 FMIC kit and it fit pretty well actually, the only problem I had was the on the SR cold pipe, they have this huge vacuum nipple, I just cut it of and went to the O'Reilly auto parts and got an expansion plug, works great!!! The reason the s14/15 FMIC kit works is because of the location of the stock TB on that motor v.s. the s13 SR. Another option is to buy the kit for the s13, and then go to http://www.projectnissan.com and order there cold pipe for the GReddy intake mani....that works to from what I heard!! Now as far as there exhaust manifold, I've had for a year and no problems yet, and from what I can tell it's holding up pretty nicely, but if I had to buy another one, I probably wouldn't, I would buy one with a little better material, the SSAC one turned purple within in a day...And I wasnt even on it hard-8psi....

got a link to this cold pipe? this is the part I really have been in search of..... I have a project silvia hot pipe and the cold side is all that is really stopping the volvo FMIC I already have laying around from going in. However, since It is like 100 bucks for a kit(cant find just a single cold pipe) I would rather spend the extra 150ish bucks and get an entire kit instead of having to try and modify it to fit with proper vac lines.

is there any other sources out there other than custom for a exhaust mani?????? I would love some equal length runners..... specially if I can just get a Cold pipe and make my own FMIC. Then I can do both

Well here is the GReddy one.... http://projectnissan.com/shopp...=3056

And here is the Project Nissan one.....http://projectnissan.com/shopping/pc/vi ... oduct=4272

You will probably need to get some sort of elbow off the I/C but these should suffice!! LOL

Have you seen the Greddy M-spec? Looks like a nice price for a Greddy quality intercooler

*edit*

Oh....looks like greddy discontinued it!

and replaced it with this.

I bought that cold pipe and had to use a 45 degree coupler and a piece of a CAI to make it fit. Other than that it's fine.
