I've noticed alot of members have the SS Autochrome exhausts on their cars, I guess cause they are cheap. But I am wondering about the other products they sell, namely their turbo exhaust manifolds and intercoolers. I will steer clear of their turbo's even though they say its a Garrett turbo I just don't believe it not for as cheap as they are selling them. They have a bolt on kit for the KA that is decently priced so if i were to get it and just replace the turbo with one I can trust do you guys think that the manifold and intercooler will hold up, I mean after all the full kit price is like 1500 and that includes everything to bolt it up including hardpipes and intercooler.

well personally i hate to go off of " I heard" i just simply tested it out for myself. it's been about 8 months now with an ssac turbo and (2nd gen)manifold beating the hell out of it, I have no issues at all. No blown seals etc.

all ssac are doing is selling affoardable parts and making alot of money and making their stuff better. if i could affoard rev-hard manifolds right now , i would not even buy it. I would simply spend that money on a Tig welder and make my own.

Their I/C and piping I trust. Their exhausts have had some fitment issues but are ok. Their original top mount exh. manis were prone to cracking.

I have their FMIC kit with piping, its great. I have experience with their B13 SE-R headers and it's perfectly fine as well, their s14 KA24DE bottom mount exhaust manifold for a t25 turbo is also great.

I have no experiance with any of their nissan stuff but ive never seen a turbo manifold for a honda hold more than 12psi without cracking. Also, the two turbo kits I installed on dc2 integras at the shop I work at the flange off one of the runners for the external wastgate put the wastegate right into the hood and you couldnt close it, so that had to be re-worked. And granted the i/c works but you cant compare it to a precision turbo and engine one which arent too expensive and the couplers arent even stitched so they arent going to last. Hell when we were dyno tuning on of the dc2's on what was suppose to be a 10psi spring turned out to be alot more than that. Overall I myself have never seen anything good come from them. I mean when it cost more to get the complete ebay turbo kit installed at your local performance shop than it was to buy it because half the damn thing has to be re-worked,that cant be a good thing.

you'll see folks running their exhausts since it's not made by them. It's outsourced to a company called motoria which also builds exhausts for companies like uras. i haven't heard too much good stuff about their other products though.
