3) I beg to differ on the second part (own both). The Camaro does not have a buzzy, underpowered truck engine. The Nissan does not have a solid rear axle and piston slap. Call it a wash and everybody lay off the F-bodies...

WRX's do not handle very well in stock form. But any car can handle well with suspension mods.

You've obviously haven't driven a WRX at the track. If you did, your opinion would be very different.

I guess that's the bottom line with any car purchase. You've got to drive it for yourself. As I said, I found the skidpad #'s for the WRX disappointing, but I've yet to drive one myself.

I've got a friend who's got an '02 WRX, I just need to convince him to let me drive it sometime.

If i'm not mistaken Diamond Star Motors(DSM) only makes(made?) eclipses and Talons. The 3000GT and Stealth were a joint thing too but i don't think DSM made them

On Topic.. regardless of numbers, personally i would take the WRX over the Neon on any day, even if the Neon was better in performance.
