I was looking for a stock SR sidemount for my KA-t25 project, and came across a local deal of $50 for a stock SRT-4 intercooler. Has anyone used it or know anything about it??

I am thinking a front mount would get much more air than a sidemount, and therefore be able to keep charge air cooler. I am just worried the SRT-4 one might not flow well or something. As long as it flows "as good" as an SR sidemount, I may pick this up.

BTW, I am not worried about it looking too small in the opening, as I am painting it black.

Any front mount is going to rock over that side mount, unless its horribly small. If you have the means to fab the pipes let me know. I’m looking for an S14 cold pipe that is strait through.

SRT4 FMIC is good for up to around 400whp on the car. They don't replace them until they're going for 400+whp.

I'd say get it.

yeah, a couple people have told me now that they do flow well, however, the endtanks point backtoward the motor and will not clear the frame rails. SO, apparently the endtanks will have to be modified.

Not sure if it is worth it or not.....

tho that price is unbeatable, unless u dont mind welding on some new ends or endtanks to that intercooler, u might be better off with another intercooler.

Yeah, several people have told me these intercoolers are great for anything up to 300 whp (which is where Dodge recommends upgrading, I think). ANd I definitely won't be going over 300 whp, so.....

...I am just trying to figure out how much it would cost me to modify the endtanks.

Yeah, you won't be able to use it as it currently is due to the endtanks, and paying to have it modified will not be worth the money and hassle.

I got one. Only dry fitted it to my fastback. If you need it, let me know.
