SRS light on !!help

I have a 96 altima for some reason the srs light is on all the time. Does anyone know how to reset it.

You probably have a control unit code stored. I am assuming SRS means your Airbag light.

If so try disconnecting both battery cables for 24 hrs and see if the light stays out. If it doesnt you may have to have the dealer clear it. Good news though[maybe] I think your yr car had a recall on the passenger side airbag. Might be earlier yrs only cant recall off the top of my head. If you post your vin I can run it on nissans dcs system to see if there are any open recalls.
