I'm thinking of dropping a SR25DET into a S14. The main question is wil it fit? WIll I have to make major mods to do it?

what's an sr25det? are you looking for an sr20det or are you you looking for an RB25det? In either case just check the two forums above this one they'll be able to tell you. Just make sure you use the search button or else you'll get flamed.

There is no such thing as the RB25DETT... the motor utilizes a single T3 turbo. The RB25DET will fit in the S14 but look to spend about 2000 more on the swap at least. RB25DET will also HAVE to be swapped with full exhaust, the turbo will cook itself on the stock **** piping we have. So now you have another 800 or so for full exhaust (custom downpipe, test pipe, and cat-back). Not to mention 99% of shops wont know **** about the motor or know how to wire it in. Dauntless has a clue about the swap as it is the motor we are swapping in my S14 in about 4 months.

Rb25s also cost about 1000 more than the SRs.
