I'm new here and would really like to find out if the above swap is possible without having to mod the engine mounts. If it is possible from which model should I get the SR20VE engine from? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm hard to say but I would venture a not likely. I think you would have better luck if you had a SE with the SR20DE in it and then it should be close. You must have a GXE I am assuming.

You will need a lot of work to do this. Here is a short list of stuff you will need to start with.

1) Mounts 2) SR20DE tranny 3) ecu and wiring harness 4) axles

You are probably going to need to modify the mounts too.

You could get the gear box from the qr25 and save money and hassles with the tranny mounts and shift linkage cables. it will bolt right in. the tough part is running some new wiring for a computer that will run the new engine.
