You would have to swap the the VE head onto a RWD block. You also would have to do either custom motor mounts or bash/cut a hole into the fire wall for the distributer which would be at the back of the motor. I'm sure there are other variables, but you would have to find someone who has done it to find out.

Yay let's have a bashing party. I think a SR20VET would rule (yeah I know you just said NA VE).

NA SR's rock hardcore, if you take off powersteering and everything you end up being about 150lbs lighter than having a KA24 with PS and AC. On that note, I dont think an NA SR is worth it unless your going to go with the whole light weight deal.

My dream SR NA build:-Turbo block (oil squirters)-turbo crank and rods-SR16VE pistons-GTiR quad throttle bodies-SR16VE head-single belt lightend crank pully-no ps or AC-chromoly flywheel-NA sr trans (shorter gear)

Run that beast out to the tune of about 9500 RPM running on 104, god damn I loves me some high RPM n/a goodness!

I think Toda makes some N1 cams. And that whole reving an SR to 9500 sounds nice but it would give me flash backs to the DE. Zing....snap goes the rocker arm.

Yeah, sr20ve's are nice a quick. Me and a buddy are getting things ready for a VE swap into his '92 SE-R. Should be a simple one-day event. Lets hope anyway. But man, the whole rev cycle is the powerband of those motors (assuming you set the VVL at a low rpm). And their virtually indestructible. I can't wait till we get it done so I can run it on the auto-x. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress!

Nissan makes the N1 cams... they come in the SR16VE N1 engine.

DE's and VE's have nothing in common with their valvetrains for obvious reasoning.
