hi all. so im looking for a new powerplant to drop into my car(1985 turbo S12) and i really got into looking at an SR swap. but not just any SR20 swap, but a JDM SR20VE from a Primera. from what i can see, it should be about as hard as swapping a 4AGE 20v into an 86 right? the only real problem im facing is mating the FWD block to the RWD transmission. i found a REALLY old thread on sr20forums for a group buy on adapter plates to mate it to an L28 trans, but havent found anything ever since. so onto my question, do any of you know a company that would sell/make an adapter plate for it?

and no i dont want to do the head swap, id feel more comfortable keeping the engine as one rather than hacking away at my RWD. thanks

You need to swap the head onto the RWD SR black, but the block needs modification (oil galley closed). Please search SR20VE head on SR20DET

Not without lots of one off fabrication parts. If you can design and build them, you can do the headswap cheaper and easier.
