hi, im new to the forums, been glancing at them from time to time though, you guys are great.i currently own a 90' coupe with 98k on the ka24.after learning from friends what an excelent car i own :D, i began lookin around the net for info and such. now i fancy myself an expert on the silvia:rolleyes. ...anyways, i ran into this site selling an sr20deV engine, (variable valve timings or such) it interesting me because its rated at 189 hp stock and i prefer NA over forced induction. ive been looking for an engine swap because the ka has major problems and i dont really feel like rebuilding an aging engine. any info on this particular engine would be helpful, thanks.

its an sr20ve. and sadly it a transverse mounted motor for FWD cars. no luck fitting it in an S chassis. blue top, right? yeah i wanted one too. with a lot of work it will fit. if u really want it look into converting a RWD SR20DE <na motor> into a VE unit. i dunno just a thought.<psssst dont give up on the ka. buy another ka. ka's rule!>-Enzo

i think you're referring to the SR20VE. I'm not too savvy on VE engines, but I believe they were all FWD and not RWD. I could be mistaken though

EDIT: I stand beaten at my timing, but nonetheless backed up :D

on days like when your rear window breaks because you put it down and it was too cold in the garage, i think i paid too much

i payed a little under 7 grand for it. it had the SR swapped, front mount, new diverter valve, custom hotpipe, and hosing for the turbo as well as a boost gauge and an AFR gauge (although I'm considering taking the AFR out and putting something usefull in its place)

I've done all the other mods to it. New shocks, new wastegate actuator, speakers, head unit, TC bushings, etc.

FWIW there is a group that goes by the name SR20Dev(elopment), but I'm sure you were looking for motor info.
