Okay, so my dad and I want to do an SR swap in my 240 but we want to do twin turbo's, but 2 smaller turbo's to get away from the Lag. So if any of you guys know if this would work i would reallyappreciate it.

with money anything is possible...but its not worth it really man. Just go single. Theres not that much lag anyways (most cases)

it's been done before. i think it was an aussie tuning company that did it. anyways, the packaging constraints of the engine bay make plumbing a nightmare.

If you've got the money for a TT setup. Try to invest in a VGT setup... That I havent seen before and would be pretty cool.

The amount of custom fabrication and parts needed would take more money & effort than the potential gain. If you do all of the fab work yourself, it would be cool, but still not really worth it. There's barely any lag on a stock turbo anyway. It would make way more sense to take the extra money it would cost to do an sr20dett and spend it on parts for the engine with a single turbo or on suspension. That's cool if you can do a project like this with your pops. I wanna get a project for me and my old man to do, once my new house and shop are finished this winter. My shop is gonna be 60'x40'. If youy want to research it further, use the search button at the top of the page. Search for sr20dett, select archived content, select this forum and you'll get a few posts on this topic.

ehhhh father/son projects arnt always awesome...for the most part they are specially with cars, but my pops has a tendency to take charge and boss me around then ask the same questions over and over seeing as the last car he worked on was a 67 chevy nova way back in the day...he gets confuzzled, doesnt listen to what im saying, gets pi$$ed off and storms in the house...

as for the whole SR20DETT i personally wouldnt go after it due to what people have already stated

Thanks for the Help guys. I really Appreciate it, but as far as turbo's go on the SR, would a garett T45 work good?

uuuhhhhh....... first you talk about TT to get rid of lag... and now you are talking about slapping on a T45 series turbo?

I know this is a stupid question and off on a tangent but does anyone know why you see the SR listed as SR20DETT on some parts and literature and websites sometimes? Is that just a typo or what?

def. a typo, i realle wouldnt see the point, i dont think a 4 cyl. would have enuff exhaust energy to spin two turbos efficiently
