Has anyone heard of the sr20dett i didnt belive that it was a factory motor. i allways thought it was just a conversion but when i called apex to order a hg they asked if it was a sr20det or sr20dett. the only thing i can come up with is either the motor was a factory option or apex makes a kit for the sr20.

It’s just a matter of a manifold that will support two turbo’s, and an outlet that will match them both up to the down pipe after. I know a guy who did that to a motor on a minivan. Crazy guy made his own manifold that supported two turbo’s. He said there was serious lag but when those things finally got started it was nasty fast. He was doing 10.5sec 1/4 miles with a 4 cylinder Dodge minivan.

laugh all you want but if you can think of it some tweeker has tried to do it or done it.

No. There was no "rare factory option" with a twin turbo setup. You're getting bad info.

Both are aftermarket parts for a niche market. What does that have to do with what Nissan never producing a twin turbo SR?

Also, I'd actually be surprised if those products were even real and not just mislisted as so many products that are entered into web catalogs are.

Ive seen few SR20DET that's twin turbo but its all custom work.

It did not come from the factory as a "rare" option.

Id like for you to show me this "turbo pipes and apexi sells a headgasket for the sr20dett"

if there were an sr20dett consisting of just an upgraded manifold, the head would be the same and the block would be the same hince no need for a special gasket someone is screwing with your head.

this picture simply shows a custom turbo setup. notice that the head and block are the same as any other SR...there is no need for a dett head gasket. the metal ones for a single turbo should hold fine, either way these pictures are circumstantial, they only prove that someone likes to get creative, not that nissan released a twin turbo sr motor.

theres a guy on here with a vg30dett powered s13, just because he posts pics doesnt mean that was a factory option, btw all of you crazy people who try to twist words...the s13 does not and never did come factory with a vg30 or even a v6 motor!

lol, those are huge, I think I'll order one off ebay and bolt it onto a SR. I hope it spools up fast. You think I'll have any lag?

Wow, it sure does. A normal s15 SR20DET with a lot of AFTERMARKET PARTS. I hope you don't think it came from the factory with those two shiny turbos.

Every picture in this thread is a custom setup. They never came from the factory twin turbo. Period.

I think we've all gotten to the point that there wasn't a factory option for a twin turbo SR. So I'm closing this thread down.
