check if there is power at your starter, if so, you can bridge the relay and the car will crank.winkie wrote:I'm pretty new so please go easy on me. I searched for a while, and I couldn't figure it out, so here it goes,The car won't crank over, and the starter doesn't click either, there's no ground short, and it's a fresh battery. I'm getting power to the lights and everything else, and being mechanically challenged, I have no idea what to do. Hopefully someone can help me out.
Theirs 2 wires on the starter. The main power lead and the signal wire. Check for power at all times on the Main lead( big red wire) and check for power at the small signal wire while an assistant turns the key to the start position. If no power at the signal wire while the key is turned, you need to go back and check your wiring job. If you do have power at the wire the starter is bust.winkie wrote:^ do I just use a voltmeter on the starter wire or the actual starter itself?
