bout to buy a bottom end sr20det with a spun bearing ..anyone know if the pistons would be damage or the rods? i;m kinda new so i dont really know ..engine has Weico pistons, eagle rods,

Pistons shouldn't have damage but I think the connecting rods could, the part where the rod connects to the crankshaft.

It's hard to tell though. Take someone who know's what to look for though with you before you buy it. You probably might not see obvious signs of wear.

If it's a spun rod bearing, and whats left of the bearing is still on the rod, then the rod should be repairable.

depends on how long you ran the engine after the bearing spun

sounds like the issue should be repairable if its not too messed up
