That my friend is a sr20de. Check underneath the exhaust manifold. If theres no turbo than its a NA. Also if the transmission isnt behind the engine but to the side, its another way to tell. Please search you will find the answer.

Yes there is a non turbo version of every SR20. A shop in Norcross GA built a s15 turbo motor out of the NA. It was actually pretty quick. But yes some people turbo the NA.s

never heard of the distributor swap though, i guess you learn something everday.

Mr Zabala, you may need to do the search on that one...dont be so quick to slap someone around. He even said it was a 240. Not even Volvo 240s are front wheel drive.

early swaps before most of us knew what a sr20det was, would be done by swapping the distributor from an sr20de and using the ignition system for a KA.

back then you couldn't just order a rom tune from enthalpy or JWT and the aftermarket ECU stuff was not in the states yet.

it could be a turbo on a sr20de, check the throttle body. if it is 60mm then its a sr20de. if its a 50mm then its an sr20det. (unless they swapped it, I upgraded my sr20det throttle body to the sr20de one)

I also don't know if the de block as a hole tapped for the oil line to the turbo. I would suspect that it does not. so check to see if it has an oil line ran from the oil filter block.

the way the swap was done back in the day was like this...get sr20det with a cut *** harness and no ecu.chuck out that cas and buy a rwd sr20de distributor on ebay or from JWT as they have stocked them for over 10 years. swap over the iacv and water temp sensors from the KA24. use the ka harness and tune the ka ecu or add a s-afc.

later on, engine importers would realize that their customers kept asking for uncut harness, ecu, maf and all that. but i remember in the mid 90's the hassle of doing this swap because it wasn't that well known on the wiring details, and there were only like 20 people on 240sx.org that had the swap. i'm showing my age...

Im only slapping because I want him to search and not make a thread so randomly. IF he took the time to check, search and compare. He would know what it is.
