early swaps before most of us knew what a sr20det was, would be done by swapping the distributor from an sr20de and using the ignition system for a KA.
back then you couldn't just order a rom tune from enthalpy or JWT and the aftermarket ECU stuff was not in the states yet.
it could be a turbo on a sr20de, check the throttle body. if it is 60mm then its a sr20de. if its a 50mm then its an sr20det. (unless they swapped it, I upgraded my sr20det throttle body to the sr20de one)
I also don't know if the de block as a hole tapped for the oil line to the turbo. I would suspect that it does not. so check to see if it has an oil line ran from the oil filter block.
