I was just thinking about this the other day. I want to eventually have an aftermarket alarm installed in my S14 with S14 SR, but was wondering if there would be any wiring issues compared to if I was still running the stock KA? Is this something I should bring up to the installers beforehand, or am I just giving them a reason to jack up the price for imaginary "extra labor"?

Yeah, it don't make a difference. My alarm guy installed my viper in 30 minutes.

30 minutes.... I'm sorry, but after doing audio/video/security stuff for nearly 12 years, I would say it cannot be an install with any kind of quality. To me a quality install means all the wires are either taped individually or integrated with an existing harness and the alarm brain is hidden from view (meaning it does not fall to the floor when you remove the underdash panel. As long as it works for ya though.......I guess.

Haha, yeah, it was pretty quick, but this guy has installed alarms on my Old Integra, My Six Speed Accord, My Jeep Cherokee and my 240. He is good and fast, and boy it looks super clean. Maybe I was exagerating, 45 minutes. But that was the maximum time it took him. This was zip tying the wires so they look very clean and all.
