i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem im having right now with my swap, the engine is in its pretty much ready but one this, i went to srswap.com and saw there wiring color diagram (i think it was srswap.com) but the wires under the dash arent matching up, has this happened to anyone before? i ordered my harness from http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...Code=

im sure its the right harness and all, i went on another site to see what every wire is for so im going to have to see what wire is what and try to do it like that but i wanted to know if anyone had this happen and if theres an easier way to figure it out thanks

what SR is it? I'm assuming S13.

are you looking at the ECU plug or the smaller white plug that hangs off the ECU plug? it's mate on the body harness should have same colored wires that need to be cut and directly connected to the wires on the white plug

the small white plug off the ecu has a mate right above where the ecu is mounted. i don't remember which wires need to be spliced together, but you have to cut wires off of the plug and its mate, then connect them together. The online FAQs should have them

You will not use all of the wires coming off of the engine wiring harness. You will have to cut the plug off of your KA engine harness, match up the 6 wires specified with those on the ka plug with those on the SR engine harness.

like Tenkawa said, cut off the small white plug that was on your KA harness near the ecu (the one that ran up next to your blower motor behind the glove box) and color match the wires to your sr harness. Not all will match, just match whatever you can and call it a day with that plug.

the other plugs that need modification are next to the battery tray, small brown and big grey one. Match those up to the existing wiring, and there's some soldering I forget which ones though. I think the brown (o2 wire) goes to the ignition (black/red?) and there's some other wire, I think it's a blue/red wire. Don't quote me on the last two wires though those two are off the top of my head.
