Got mine from phase2. My engine is in really good shape, and it's about as complete as can be considering it was a motorset and not a clip. No P/S lines, A/C hardline or SMIC, but everything else was there. If you're on the west coast, send them an email, if not, Daunttless is probably closer to you, and probably a better source.

hey everyone. Just registered in. I'm a newbie in SR20det swaps as am currently doing one myself. I just bought a red top front clip with no front end damage! It might be a bit high but I shopped around and don't know too many places to buy them.I got mine with the whole rear limitted slip, axle frame and evencalipers and disc for $2500.

Ok buddy that's nice to hear, but where did you get it? That was the whole reason for the thread. It was WHERE not HOW MUCH for your SR20's. Basically you answered everything except where you got it from.

Lets hear where you got it from, and what condition is it in? That's a killer deal for $2500. I think you may have just gotten lucky. Pull off the oil filler and look inside, are there any scratches on the lobe? Pull your spark plus and look at them. Does it look like it's been run rich or lean? If you can see the top of the pistons, how do they look? Pull the transmission off and look at the clutch disc and the flywheel, what shape are those in?

If the person you bought it from knew what was included with that clip, my bet would be some of that stuff may be damaged. But I may just be pessimistic. That just seems to be a steal.

Cool, go to http://www.flashoptions.com for the best deal. They are based out of Malyasia, so shipping my be cheaper and get to you in about 2 weeks. Their sr20det front clips are only 1600.00 plus shipping!

yeah, but if you buy a clip from dauntless or the other reputable sources you'll get a warantee and be buying from a source that other people know has decent quality clips. If you buy off ebay, you may

1)not ever get your clip; wouldn't be the first time.

2)Get a damaged clip; wouldn't be the first time

3)buy a clip from someone who doesn't know what he/she is talking about

For an extra 300 or so dollars (dauntless), you can buy from someone who is well known, be sure that the thing will actually reach your door, and know that the clip is (probably) of a decent quality (supposing that someone who is well known won't risk ripping someone off.
