Just wondering if you've ever made a leak tester before? I had a ton of leaks and couldn't find one of them So I took a coupler to the hardware store and found a pvc end cap that would fit inside of it. Drilled a hole and put a quick disconnect on it. This way you don't have to have the engine running and try to hear the leaks, which is damn near impossible. If you need more reference I can send you a pic of mine. Super easy to make and costs like $3. Worth every penny in my opinion. All you do is attach it to the intake side of the turbo and apply a little pressure (15-25psi) and keep an ear open.

Oh on top of what I just said. I kind of forgot that you have some modes done. The cams will drop your vacuum. You put down 265 cams, I'm assuming you mean 256 (which I run) that will drop vacuum to around 15. And 264 if thats what you mean will bring it to the 12 range. Soo, you might be in the range your your supposed to be already. Do you vent the BOV also? In combination that could be your problem.

Your vacuum for the cams is normal but as the previous poster said it would be wise to do a vacuum/boost test.

What worries me though is your idle. Check your timing with a Stage 2 cam you should be able to idle 800-900 with out problem. If you have and vacuum leaks this could cause your air fuel mixture to get too rich and die out (look for black smoke / soot on your rear bumper). Venting your bov to atmosphere would cause the problem also. I know you said the bov is not the problem but remember to check your bov gasket also as it is an often overlooked problem. If you want a difinitive answer to leaning out vs rich/fat mixture pull a spark plug. If it has a white power coating that is lean, severely lean with little specks of metal (from the piston) should make you poop your pants (it is the beginning of a hole forming in your piston from the lean condition), a black soot is rich, and oily and black soot causing fouled plugs would be rich with oil leak. If you have an oily condition let me know and there is a way of doing a compression test with a few extra steps to determine where the leak is coming from.

For info on timing see the NICO threads and Heavy Throttles site http://www.srswap.com/faq/index.asp towards the bottom of the instal FAQ is the section on timing. and since you have just done cams it is where i would start.

also if the idle bounces from like 900 to1300 or something similar thats a good indication you have a vac leak.

but latley(random started happening) my car will start up just fine warm-up and then out of now where lean out nastly and shut off (DURNING IDLE)???? and it does it while i drive and when coming to a stop shift to N and same thing dies then when i goto restart it it just sputters and dies again the only way i keep it running if i give it gas. its not my bov opening so dont tell me that. im gonna try that vacuum leak test idea! thats the best idea ive ever heard!!! but im so lost and frustrated!!!!! keep coming with the info its def helping, im gonna get a rom tune so it might help the situation, also just to inform u guys that i always had to keep the idle screw up just to keep my car from dying out when shifted to N i guess because of my atmosphereical bov-i know some people had todo the same and others just put the atmo. bov on and didnt have to change a thing! i guess these cams make it a living hell to keep my car a good running DD
