I KNOW everybody is gonna think Im crazy for asking this, but does anybody know if any of the Silvias had auto trannies....and if so, does anybody know if anyone imports those motors/trannies into the US? I already e-mailed Heavy Throttle, and they dont/wont have them.

Any help or info would be appreciated.

Thanks,B.C.

yes there were auto transmission silvias

no, nobody stocks them because there is no demand, you would have to special order it, and that would cost more than it is to convert your car to manual, which is better fur just about everything.

There was one mated to an S14 engine being sold by http://www.foreignenginesinc.com/ in WA, but I doubt they will send it to you. They had about 5 mt's not sure about how many autos they had.

JD-S14,I got an SR automatic in my 240SX. I got the engine, automatic transmission and ECU for a great deal ($1000). I bought the wiring harness from Heavy Throttle. Since my 240 came with automatic originally it already had the automatic ECU (an additional computer for the transmission) in place so everything was pretty much plug and play, except a few splicing and soldering. My motor fired right up and I have excellent compression. One reason I like the fact it came automatic is that I know it wasn't revved out my the previous owner. It shifts at 6500 rpm so I this motor nevers sees redline. I running 13psi of boost and it pulls really really nice. No missed gears when drag racing! :O)
