I am gonna race a '99 C5 Corvette with I/E and 100 shot of nos. My car is not done yet but here is what I've got:

Hmmm, well I am gonna say not likely. He should be relatively fast especially with him spraying.

What are you running your boost at. I would have to say most defintely not if the boost is not turned up.

I will be running 15-17psi and with the other parts, I wont have much turbo lag. I might have time to get a turbo manifold and Greddy turbo extension before I race him. You can check out his car at our car club site @ http://www.superior-motorsports.com. Tell me what you think.

Is this a black top or red top DET? If it's the blacktop w/T28 turbo, you still probably not gonna beat a C5 vette with 100 shot. Without the nos you should spank him to and fro. Oh, what kind of clutch you got in that thing.?

It is the s13 red top, which has a much better torque curve than the s14 or s14 sr20det. It has a Nismo clutch which was there when I got it. This corvette ran a 13.4 with 75 shot nos, but now he is running 100 with a spec stage 3 clutch.

Redtop=T25+15-17psi=BAD IDEA for daily driving. 15lbs for a short burst shouldn't be a problem. T25 begins to loose its effiency after 14lbs and there is alot of torture on the thrust bearing.

I kind of guessed that. I am also gonna race a '00 pontiac firehawk that has a ton of mods and and has spanked that vette all day at the track ( you can see this firehawk @ http://www.superior-motorsports.com) and I think it has a best time of 13.2. Most of my friends in superior estimate a 12.8 out of my car with a good driver.

By the way, does anyone know where I can get an upper coolant neck( where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine) or coil pack harness for a s13 sr20det?

i love hte suby!! and the firehawk, honestly, i dont think you'll have enough to run the vette if he's spraying, however, u can pray me misses a shift!!!, and if hte firehawk spanks the vette, then i dont think that'll even be a fair race, i say its possible for u to be the vette if he's off the juice

you don't stand a chance! The c5 is a damn fast car and with a 100 shot will murder you. I have a redtop @ 14lbs (anything higher and your blowing hot air) and just barely edge out z28s. Get a bigger turbo then propper fueling and tuning...When that happens now you can go play with the big boys until that time have fun looking at his taillights.

BTW 12.8 1/4 mi is not obtainable with your mods

i wouldnt try it for a couple of reasons 1. you will probably lose2. you will probably burn your engine up trying to win.

You have no chance against a stock c5 (assuming a descent driver) let alone with a 100 shot.... Friend 1, 12.5@114 totally stock 2001 FRC (fixed roof coupe, same body as Z06), buddy 2 ran a 13.0@107 in a firehawk with intake.
