i have been noticing small amount of trans fluid under my hatch so i got under to look and it just confused me more and more. here are some photos to try to help pinpoint where leak or leaks could be coming from[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]idk if a seal is where the d/s connects with trans? maybe thats bad and causing the fluid to run all the way down the the others spotsany help is greatly appreciated!thanks

If it is the rear transmission seal then you can just remove the driveshaft, take out the old seal and place a new one in. How's your fluid level, if it's too full it will leak?

The rear trans seals go bad a lot, mine leaked all over the garage floor when I got it. I drained the fluid and pulled the seal. Gotta pick it up tomorrow actually.I guess it could have leaked from the rear and dripped down to the center, but I'm not sure.If it was mine I would wipe it clean and let it sit and try to see where the fluid is coming from

if its oil then it could be the rear main seal. If its gear oil then its the rear transmission seal

The seals and gaskets are the same for the SR and KA transmission's.

dont waste your time dropping the transmission if you dont have to, replace the driveshaft/trans seal first.

if it looks like fluid is coming from top and running down, the shifter cover gasket is leaking, especially if you added synthetic transmission oil.
