sr20det transmission question

this may sound like a stupid question, but in a right hand drive car is 1st gear in the top right position of the gears (completly different than american cars) if so how do some people get use to driving like that when they get a jdm motor

the transmission is the same as is the gear box.

so if the transmission for the ka and sr is the same, do the japs drive in the right hand side but shift like we do in the left hand drive. 1 3 5 2 4 R

so that means that clutches are interchangeable between the KA and the SR, correct?
