Okay since the KA and the SR have a few parts that are compatible with each other I have been thinking about this for a while. Are the internals of the 2 trannies swap-able between the each other? Like the gears, synchro's, etc.

I suspect they are....i was under the impression that the trannies were pretty much identical except for the bell housings. If you put an SR bell housing on a KA transmission....voila, SR transmission. The gear ratios might be slightly different, i've never really gotten a clear answer on that.

anyone else? If the internals are swap able I may not be selling my KA transmission.

The KA transmission internals are crap! I have blown through three of them and I don’t have a turbo! The forks are made of “pot metal” and are week. I’m sure if you swap bell housings the SR would bolt up to a KA. No point in putting a KA trans on an SR.

Yes, you can use the KA internals with the SR bellhousing, without any problems....If you need details email me, i have a writeup from Aubrey...(who runs high 11-low 12's on the transmission without problems)....

Thanks a lot guys. Looks like that I may be keeping my transmission as a spare. But its still up for grabs to those with entertaining offers.

Thanks again,

Seth
