Ok heres the deal........ First of i have a red top SR20 in my car and for the past mont or so i have been running super rich and getting a screaming noise from the turbo. Also every time i would get into boost the car would loose power. when just doing normal driving when i would come to a stop the car would bog down and stall...

So i have a friend that is running the same set up as i am and his motor would not rev over 4000 rpms so they unpluged his TPS and it cleaned up and ran great. Its been about 18 months and his car still runs good and hes runing 12 psi and gets 27 miles to the gallon....

So we were working on my car and he told me to unplug mine and sure enough it cleaned up the running rich problem and the turbo noise went away and i went from 12 miles to the gallon to 26 miles to the gallon. With all my problems gone....

My Question is should i replace the TPS or just run without it? if i should replace it is there a USDM version that will work with it? Will running with out the TPS cause any other problems? Like i said the car runs great now i just want to know if i should replace out of fear of breaking something else.

the tps can come from a 97 200sx stateside. You need a tps to run, thinking you can run without one is pretty dumb. Also if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

dude if you run w/o tps thats just assanign!!!

your ECU now doesnt know what kind of throttle its recieving and it just sticks with a base-map...keeps timing low for the most part and should be less responsive to throttle.

Get a new one on there asap and tell your friend to do soo as well...this is not how we run our quality machines......
