As the title states, I'm in search of the bolt torque specs for the valve cover and exhaust manifold and I have a few concerns with my valve cover.
Yes, I searched and was not able to find the necessary information. :frown:
With that being said, I've got an s14 SR20DET motor; I'll be installing a tubular exhaust manifold soon, as well as having my valve cover sprayed, so I wanted to make sure all my bases were covered before I made any more progress.
Can anyone tell me the torque specs for the exhaust manifold and the valve cover gasket? I don't want to over torque them or under torque them...I can't imagine that would be good lol. I was also wondering, is the valve cover removal pretty self explanatory (i.e. is there anything I should be weary of when removing it or re-installing it?) And can I replace my valve cover gasket with an "autozone" gasket, or should I go ahead and order one online?

Thanks in advance for the help!

No matter what, you will have to order the.valve cover gasket. Make sure you indeed have an s14 (vvt hump in the front of the head) so you order the right gasket. It's to common for people to advertise they have an s14 when actually they are a proud owner of a black top s13. As far as torque specs just search on here, (if you can't find them here, 91 sentra ser.chilton) but the only thing I torque are the essentials so don't know off.the top of my head.
