SR20det top speed electronic limited??

soo i was on a "closed course" today and hit a straight and wanted to just open her up... well i have a 92 so my speedo tops at 110, so the speed was buried and @ around 5000rpm i felt what i think was it being limited ( where u feel it accerate then be cut off then slowly decelerate down like 5mph then acereate again (being electronic limitied) am i just dumb and didnt know that sr20det are limited?

i have a 92 hatch with redtop sr20det
with 3" straight downpipe back
2.5" fmic
bov
intake
stage 3 clutch
turbo timer

and thats all the motor has done to it... any ideas?

Yep the SR stock ECU has a rev and top speed limter programmed in it. Get a reflash and you can get it removed. Ir better yet wait untill you have a bigger turbo and up the boost and get a rom tune.

Not sure but I didn't think it was that high, 115 or 120 was what i thought.

KA is 150mph I dont see it being any higher..

You are limited to 118 mph with the stock sr(and ka for that matter) 5 speed ecu. Auto ka ecu's don't have a speed limiter(or it is much higher), I don't know about auto sr ecu's but I would assume the speed limiter is set up the same as the auto ka's.
