Ok here is whats going on.

Im trying to take the head off to build the head. Anyway i was using the fsm. The fsm i got from zilvia it was the s14 sr20det manual because thats all they have, but anyway. Im trying to get the timing chain to line up with those marks on the sprockets. The silver tabs on the chain are suppose to line to with the marks on the sprockets from what the fsm says. But its not doing it. I have been cranking the crankshaft to the left (the fsm never specified which way to crank it) and i cant get them to line up. I have cranked it around numerous times. And they never line up. What the hell is going on ive never seen this before. Im afraid to take anything else off because i dont want to **** anything up until i find out why its doing this. Anyone with experience or knows for sure help.

ok, well i called heavy throttle and they told me that it didnt matter. They said just as long as i take the bolts out in the right order and im at top dead center it doesnt matter where the timing chain is when i take off the head.

If they told me somthing wrong though im gonna be pissed haha

well another guy i know use to have an sr and he said that he couldnt even see his silver tabs on the timing chain. So it doesnt really matter i guess. I dont know how he put his back together though lol.

But anyone who knows is it gonna be ok? I had it at top dead center but the cam shaft sprocket marks werent lined up with the silver tabs and they never would line up. The car did run fine before but im still just assumming the chain was off a little or somthing.

And one more question. Im trying to get the cam shaft sprockets off now. I have the chain tensioner and the chain guard off. But the camshaft has those 1 inch ends on them and they are hard as hell to loosen i had a wrench on the hex part of the camshaft and i had my breaker bar on the front send of the cam shaft trying to loosen it but it just wouldnt do it. Anyone know what else i could do? I thought about taking an impact and trying to run it off with that. Any ideas or secrets?
