hey guys i have a red top sr20det in my s13 i tryed to set my timing at 15 degress tdc and the car did not have power i had to move the timing for the car to run good i set the timing at 20 degress for the car to run good dose any one know what it can be

Setting base timing to 19/20* is asking for a melt down...that's a huge global change to timing, and will just make everything run hot and risk detonting even more than normal.

Set it to 15* per FSM. That's the best way. Sure 20 feels better as it spools the turbo much faster, but it's way to hard on stockish stuff.

i had it at 15* and i bogged and started to back fire on me and zero power im thinking that the knock sensor is bad of the cam sensor is not put in right what u guy think i could be

Knock sensor being bad won't make it bog and have no power.

Having a bad cam sensor would make it go into limp mode and not rev hardly at all, or above 4000 rpm (similar to a bad maf issue)

I'd recheck mechanical timing and go at it again

Just to make sure, there is a 5* atdc mark on the pulley, so you're looking for the 5th timing mark from the left at 15* btdc.
