SR20DET TIMING CHAIN RATTLE

ok

to start this problem i have a brand new set of timing chain kit for the sr20 with the updated timing chain kit and tensioner

im having this rattle on the top of the valve cover.

what i did so far is

swap tensioner

then it went away.

then it came back.

swapped the new one

it went away

i drove it around the block for a test drive

it came back.

im tired figuring this thing out. ive search here and theres a bunch of thread came out with no fix its just bunch of ideas but no one ever fixed it.

and pls read the title before posting because some people always get it mistaken as a KA problem.

is tensoner installed properly? remove chain guard between the cams see if that helps as cams load and unload between strokes the chain has just enuff play to slapp the guard
