SR20DET Technical Questions

Alright I'll start with the hard one.... I'm pretty new to this factory boosted motor thing since I've been a Honda guy for three years.

First, what kinda Knock control does the stock ECU have to offer me, the honda allows 3 degrees of knock retard due to any variable so what does the S13 or S14 ECU give me? What kinda options are out there for the SR20 such as ECU programing and J&S systems

Secondly, I've read up on my SR20 swaps but I'm wondering would it be smart to mount a S13 motor into my S14 or would this be a bad idea cuas eI'm going to build the motor for it hits the car.

Ill take the easy one: yes you can put the s13 engine in the s14 240... that's exactly what Im doing. Course, it's even MORE illegal to put an older engine in a newer car, but hey-- once you broke 1 or 2 laws, might as well go the whole way, right

When putting a s13 motor into an s14, what kind of performance parts do i look for? s13 or s14? (as in turbo kits, intercoolers, etc)

I'm guessing s13 since they have to fit on the motor

how much money did you throw away to turbo your si and get it up to 270hp? i was talking to a guy who put around 10,000 in his 99 si and only got it up to 250hp...that's pathetic.
