Im thinking, matter of fact, i know its time for the swap. Im trying to create a v8 killer. Does anyone know any good places to find an sr20det(s15) engine, for a reasonable price. If you can help me out leave me a note, or just email me, thanks.

why would you want an S15? They're extremely expensive. About 4500 dollars. They make about 260 hp, while the S13 makes 220 for about 2500. You can definitely get more than 260 hp with an S13 and some mods for 4500 dollars, plus you don't have to worry about that VTC( varibale timing)

dont bother with a s15. get a black top s13 and with the 2000 you save you can do a lot of stuff to get you over the 260 hp of the s15 engine

Worry about VTC? Please.... VTC is great... it's a benefit, not a burden. I do agree that the S15 motor is not the way to go... but for different reasons. The S14 motor is a good platform. The S15 motor is exactly the same except it has a built in ignitor chip which makes the coil packs run hotter and can burn out easily. Slightly larger injectors... but who keeps stock injectors anyways? S13 motors are good too... but Im a little partial to S14 motors myself :) I think that if your going to get an S13 motor get a blacktop because they're newer and usually have less miles on them so they'll probally last you longer.

S15 engines are rated at 245-250 hp and the s13 engines are rated at 205 hp.

But I recommend Phase2motortrend, Heavythrottle,and Cartune Motorsports.

I agree with the other guys though...I recommend you getting an s13/s14.
