Is it possible to fit a sr20det into a miata?

Well, its definitely possible, and isn't the worst swap idea I've ever heard...but there are several mazda engines out there with similar stock power that might fit in easier/better...at least thats what I understand from a friend of mine who is looking at engine options for his protege. But yeah, its possible...have you ever seen the monster miata's, the ones with the 5.0 engines in them? Not the best wheight balance but fast as hell.

Then just pop in a 13B or 22B rotary engine. That is a more potent engine for the lightweight miata in my opinion.

Maybe you should ask this question on a Miata forum?

Snap-oversteer.

89.2inch wheelbase. Bah. Auto-X king though.
