Im new here and I apologize if this questions been asked million times, and Im here to ask again.

I found place local, where they sell used SR20det motors in good price, and Im really curious of how hard work it is to swap SRDET in 89 240sx, if I can do it my self, what parts would I need other than wiring, ecu, downpipe, cluster, etc. Im not really worried about a/c or p/s because Im used to not having one in my e30, :).

What does 240sx run with stock SR20DET in 1/4 mile? I really want reliable, daily mid. 13's SX, how much work would this take?

Thanks, and I really appreciate your help!

:)

Shouldn't need anymore tools than you'd use for just taking your engine out...it's a pretty straightforward, drop-in swap.

For 13s, this is guess from someone who doesn't have the engine but I'll take a jab at it....I'd assume you could pull down some high 13s with high boost and the proper tuning, management, and fuel supply (Walbro 255lph pump). Lower than that and you're probably looking at an intercooler and turbo upgrade. A reasonable FMIC and T3/T4 will do wonder for the SR's capability, without having to upgrade internals...
