SR20DET swap into a 02 Spec V??

I was curious if anyone has done this swap and if so what which sr20det engine i needed, because i know alot of them are rear wheel drive eqiupped!! And if i can use the 6 speed that comes in that car stock, i doubt it will bolt up but you never know!! if anyones got any info on this please help me out i really want to do this conversion even if its gonna be difficult!! Thank alot for all who help!!

there are plenty of front wheel drive sr20s. you got the nissan bluebirds w/ t25 and your pulsars w/ t28 and itbs . i doubt that your 6 speed would bolt up.

For the FWD SR20DET you can go with a U12/U13/Avenir or GTiR. The 6sp transmission from the Spec V could possible work. Someone is making an adapter plate as we speak. You would need the wiring harness from an older SE-R for those motors to work.

ok so i wouldnt have to buy an sr20de engines 5 sp transmission!! well thats good news hopefully the mod on the 6sp works!! do you know anybody that has done this before and if theres anything more indepth that i will have to do to make it all work!! thanks for the reply

There is an SR20DET with a Spec V 6spd. The adapter plate maker is a member, I think he goes by Trav4011.
