See sig for the engine and chassis.

1 day engine prep and KA removal1 day installing the SR3 weeks troubleshooting a MAFS problem :-|. It happened to have 2 MAFS signal wires cut along the harness by a ziptie.

The swap is easy but there are usually problems.

-Took about 10 days-'98 S13 Blacktop into S13 chassis-Could have been shorter but I needed extra hoses, gaskets (shipping took a while), timing and CAS adjustments for actually starting it up. I devoted some long hours into the actual wiring part so that I count as a day.-I'd rather have all the gaskets and replacement hoses ready by the time I knew the engine would arrive. What basically happened was that I got the engine, but waited till the last minute to order all extra parts (like clutch).-Don't go too fast with what you're doing, especially the wiring. It's better that you take your time and do it right than do a ****ty quick job.

took me about less than a week91' S13->s14 chasis2-3 hours everyday after work, Replace clutch, resurface flywheel. Wiring , I did it at work on my lunch break. I have ordered all my parts before i ordered my motor, so everything is ready to be put in.Could have - Put on a better clutch , although It was new but stage one is not good enough. Upgrade the turbo, because its a ***** doing it while the engine is in. Stock power is never good enough. You'll be hunger for more hp in matter of weeks. But i ran out of funds when I bought all the parts( intercooler kit, clutch, bov, hotpipe, etc)

I got my motorset from HT so it save me the time from removing the motor

the first swap took us about 3 weeks but it was 2 swaps- My old KA into my friend's S13- SR redtop into my car

then 7 months later my 240 got totaled... ...found a s13 coupe shell the next day for $300 the second swap was a cake since i already knew what to do and the harness was already wired- this swap took me about 4 days- 1 day removing the motor and switching suspension/brakes to the new car- 1 day to put the motor in..- 2 more days to figured out why the car wouldn't crank...it was a freaking rat chewed through part of my body harness

so yeah...the swap was...very easy..how easy? 2 weeks before my first swap, i did my FIRST...yes FIRST oil change in my life.. lol

it's all about the reading man...

Motor swap and 5 lug conversion was done in one weekend. Took myself and 4 others to "get 'er done" but we rocked the house.

Started pulling the KA around the beginning of the year, still haven't gotten the SR motor in.

Although I'm in no rush and have been waiting on parts, and cleaning up the engine bay.

here in oklahoma (norman) the fastest was 16 hours...and the same guy who did the 16 hours did a 2nd sr swap in 12 hours so now the fastest time is 12 hours that includes taking the ka out puttin the sr in, wiring starting and driving away with all new spark plugs/oil/coolant all the works also putting in a new clutch lol

6 weeks; that time includes waiting for parts, going to school, trying to get laid, etc., etc.

a week of saturdays(well not a whole week)

1 saturday swapping motors1 sat making pipes and brackets and other fabrication1 sat doing wiring, checking stuff, and double checking stuff

i did it in my own bay at my own nissan dealership. i had my own toolbox full of tools right there and a lift. on the other hand i had to push the darn thing in the shop sat mornings and out again on sat nights.

i had to do the same thing, except I only got to work halfway in the door of a huge garage/warehouse full of classic Pontiacs and parts (GTOs, Trans Ams). There was no room to even push my car all the way in.

yeah..i would say so.. i hardly know how to turn a wrench a week before the swap..you can ask Dookie and Gogg here on NICO. All of us didn't have any experience about swapping motor. The first time it took us almost a month....and that's swapping 2 motors, My old KA in Gogg's car and SR into my car...but yeah we made it through, Thanks to NICO

Mine took only about 6mo. but I am a lazy ****, that replaced every gasket that I know of, waterpump, and took me 2months to get the wiring done, again cuz I got lazy and the GF was bitching a lot on the weekends.

as I look back, I would probably get more stuff and have it running by Xmas :P
