sr20det swap for a '89 240sx

i'm thinking about swapping my engine for the sr20det. Is there anything i should know before i do it????

yes. search before you ask some people will not meet you with kind words!the best advice that can be given is do not cut corners and make sure you do your HW. be ready to spend extra $$

Just make sure you have like an extra 1000$ or so for supporting mods. I wasn't ready for that, but somehow I keep finding money to spend lol.Things you'll need are a new radiator, fuel pump, harness spliced to s13 chasis, gasket set (optional), new engine mounts (optional), fmic, bov, sr20 downpipe.The list could continue, but realalisticly if you want to just get the motor and drop it in all you need is the wireharness.I would recommend doing all the extras to go along with it though I'm in the process of doin it now, but I'm also doin a lot of body work to the s13 so I'm not in a big rush to drop it in

If you really want to do it right, get a complete front clip so you have all the necessary parts. Upgrade transmission and engine mounts, fuel pump and filter and replace seals, gaskets, water pump, etc. Do the wiring yourself and take your time. FMIC and BOV are not needed for a stock swap. Get the swap done right, then worry about bolt on upgrades later.
