I'm going to do a s14 SR20DET notch swap to my 1997 240sx but I am more so trying to make a sticky for those who are thinking the same as myself. I am basically asking what parts I should do as well while doing the swap. This is assuming the engine/tran/ecu/harness is the only things there for the time being. Lets please make this a stick thread since it would be benifical for the majority who plan on swaps. Much thanks and I'm loving the club more and more, only good things comming from you guys.

Exactly my point....aparently you dont understand the point of the thread....TO MAKE A STICKY. Were all friends here with the same intentions so lets make this simple and easy, flamers can burn with their own words but this is to benifit the WHOLE not just me alone .

I guess I should kick off the subject myself, S14 chassis to S14 Notch SR20DET engine/transmission/harness+ecu swap. The essentials I would go with are listed below, care to add if I missed any please. Mod's please hear me in making this a sticky.

Make sure to check the oil pan (common dent where the oil pump pickup tube is), turbo (seeds and random stuff), all connectors and sensors/eletrical components in good condition.

Radiator since you could upgrade while the space is there(note replace hoses/clams if needed)

Seals that are exposed to the engine due to the fact that you don't know how long its been sitting.

Clutch/flywheel, pilot bearing....related parts for the clutch

Intake, you can make one from left over parts from the KA or buy one + filter

If your going to build in the near future FMIC (front mount intercooler) isnt a bad idea.

You may want to go with belts (same guidelines as the seals).

This is where I draw a blank but someone add on by editing my post to make it a complete post with details. Much thanks and someone continue off other chassis/engine combos.

It was a good idea, but it's been covered a million times
