...trust me, you dont need the dvd.

those places will help and give you some idea. I own the DVD myself, and its not really worth it. I suggest you do a lot of research and searching. There are plenty of swap guides online.

really? damnit. i was hoping to use that as my main source of instruction, but i dunno. how much did you guys know in advance of what to do/howto/etc? i know next to nothing when it comes to this kind of stuff.

a torrent of the dvd? that would be fantastic.

I knew absolutely nothing about SR or the swap before I began....

Luckly, I had few people around me that knew what they were doing and helped out. Over the course of time which included numerous times when I had to take the engine out and also 2 rebuilds, I've definitely learned a lot.

My advice is do not be afraid of trying. You can spend 1000 hours watching DVD or reading manuals but all of that is useless unless you are actually there doing it your self.

Besides, if you do get stuck on something, we are always here to help when we can.

i knew almost nothing, all my friends in japan owned em so i at least knew about them, but i never performed a swap of any kind. I basically did a lot of online research. I learned the most when i pulled out my KA.

A friend of mine bought that dvd about 2 years ago. It won't get your anywhere. If you don't have a mechanical background. Find someone thats done a swap and learn from them. Also theres lots of good people here that will help as much as they can.

Get your hands dirty, you don't need a dvd to do it. I did mine with a friend in his driveway, took about a week working an hour or two each night. I spent most of the 3 week downtime waiting on parts to arrive.
